Happy Christmas to you too Mark. Like you I really do intend in getting out a hell of lot more than I did in 2013, as I said in the critique section, this year I really suffered from a severe case of laziness which is only now beginning to clear
Hi Jenny, Monday 30th would be ideal for me. Unfortunately I couldn’t make tonight as I will be at the office Christmas party. Just had a look at the forecast for this evening/night and it looks a little bit wild to say the least.
Hi Jenny, I definitely would be up for this put my name down please, probably don’t have a fast enough lense for hand held night-time photography but hay nothing ventured nothing gained.
Brendan, thanks for the taking time to comment and for the info. As you can see from my photo the mountains on my left-hand side were causing the shadows half way down on the right, this photo was taken at approx 2ish on December 1st (note to self must get Steve out of bed earlier). That sun calc app looks the business for landscape photography. Thanks again for the comments and info.
Thanks Jenny. I am up for a gathering, I have tried twice this year to get an outing going but they fell at the first hurdle as there was very little interest (I know that you put your name down for the Botanic gardens but you where the only one apart from Steve). Would love to have a meet up and get some Christmas lights.
Thanks Mark, dont know what I was looking at (has to be my age!). They are all meant to be week-ends Sat/Sun. I have changed the original post with the correct dates.
Ok, we have had the poll running for the last 2 weeks and the destination with the most votes was Clare with Dingle and Donegal just behind. We will now start another poll for a PI trip to Clare with dates. You can take it that the month of March is a non runner with Patrick’s day and Easter falling in that month so I will suggest a few different dates in April and May.
With Mark’s suggestion for a PI trip to West Cork, once we get this one done there is no saying that we cant have another trip for later in the year (maybe sometime in the Summer months), as personally speaking it’s an area I would really like to visit and maybe take a few snaps while I was there (if I can remember how to use my camera that is as its been a long time since I have even turned it on).
Ok we have one space available for our trip to Connemara (May 11-13), so if anybody is interested or knows of anybody who would like to go please don’t hesitate and put your name forward.
Without wanting to offend any PI members of the fairer sex, the room is booked to share with a man as when I was making the booking there was 6 males going so 3 rooms are booked to share. Hoping that does not offend anybody but in reality it would have to be a male who would be able to come along as they would be taking Cathal’s place and hence they would be sharing a room with one of the 5 other males.
A really nice sunrise shot, lovely colours and light and you have captured the sun brilliantly. As Dave said maybe the left side could be a tad brighter but by doing that you might take away from the overall mood of the photo. A lovely shot all the same.
