Being an Edinburgh native,it’s good to see some shots of my home city.Your 3rd shot is of the National Monument on Calton Hill.It was built as a memorial to those who died in the Napoleonic wars,and is modelled on the Parthenon in Athens.(Hence why Edinburgh is often called the “Athens of the North”).
Yeah,Robbie.The dials are one of the things I love about the F4.You can actually tell what the settings are on the camera before you switch it on! Much easier and more intuitive (to me,at least) than using push buttons to access menus.
Glad to see I’m not alone in having the disease of buying used Nikon film bodies! At present,I have five – F100,F801s,FE2,FM2N and an FA.I am really trying hard to find reasons to not get an F4 or F5,but I’m struggling to convince myself!! By the way,are you going to the Intermediate darkroom course with Peter Fitzsimons at the end of March? If you are,I’ll see you there.
