Yes Jenny silver and red glitter mixed in her hands. One strobe used through translucent umbrella at 1/8 power three feet in front of model to light her face. One strobe camera left snooted, pointed sideways to the right at the same height as model’s hands at 1/2 power to light the glitter. Friend on right of model holding silver reflector pointed towards positioned strobe to reflect light back in the space where the glitter would be blown. 3rd strobe about one foot in front of model at waist height pointed to the sky at 1/4 power (zoomed in to 85 mm) to light glitter above, after it was blown towards the lens.

Jess, the only options available to me under Mode once my images has been processed in Lab mode with one channel deleted are multichannel, gray scale and bitmap. Cant see how to switch back to 8 bit colour?

Bren, thanks for the tutorial, I will give it a go to see how my images turn out.

Sorry to sound harsh but you can get your wedding covered for less than a grand

    Gents,

I don’t have any issue with anybody expressing an opinion but I did find Cathalds remarks in his first post rather offensive and inconsiderate. Less than a grand is great for photographs if you have plenty of cash. What if you have a family and have been made redundant in recent months? A grand can mean a lot of money then…

My choice suits me and the photographer that has decided to avail of this opportunity. He has also agreed to part with copyright of the images as long as he can use them as part of his portfolio to win future business. Not a problem for me.

Thread closed obviously lies with the moderators etc – it was my way of saying, “that’s all I have to say on the matter”.

    Cathal and Noel,

I wasn’t looking for anybody’s rants or general opinions to be honest. If I were, I would have asked for them.

How one chooses to spend their hard earned cash on their day is up to them. If somebody with good photographic ability is looking to get into this business and expand their portfolio then this a great opportunity.

I have spoken with several people who were more than happy to take me up on my offer so it’s a win win for all concerned.

Cheers for your two pence worth – this thread is now closed.

    Thanks Red fox –

I had applied extra Gaussian blurr through ps but went over board a bit to the point that it looked a bit fake overall. This is more or less straight off the camera..
