Worst head on a pint of Guinness
Worst looking breakfast roll
Youngest looking Garda
Fattest Pidgeon
Most interesting piece of litter
Most disgruntled looking shop assistant
Most beat up looking taxi
the list just keeps going
Should seriously consider putting 10 of these together and all having a go in, say, a week, see how many people can get :-)
I like: garda, pigeon, litter, shop assistant, taxi
Would add: most car clamps (in use) in one shot – or – most free newspaper distributors in one shot; best ‘undercover’ photo of someone in a suit running; most amusing graffiti.
2 for me, 4 what it’s worth. Love the silver (golden?!) lining of that cloud… I think I would crop something like 1/3 sea, 2/3 sky though (lose half of the sky at the top)… to get rid of the top fuzzier line of clouds.
Shame it’s not more dramatic (angle/composition, slight blur to show movement…?)… I’ve not seen anyone doing this stuff around Dublin but I did see the program on BBC several months ago (probably about a year ago now) with the ‘founders’ of the sport… crazy stuff. I remember them springing up vertical shafts in between brick walls, jumping from rooftops, and a particularly breath-taking moment with one of them running along the roof of the millennium stadium in cardiff, as it was opening, and jumping across the gap (which was probably 6 foot or so, but no safety net so you wouldn’t want your runners to slip on take-off!).
So anyway, would love to see more, I think is my point :-)
Dave, you can download a fully functional V1.0 that lasts for 30 days. The full version is very different from the beta.
Damn. Tried installing but I get an error 1316 – network error trying to read a certain file :-( Tried re-downloading in case there was an issue with the download, but same again. Have “opened a case” with Adobe.com to see if they get back to me with anything!
Thanks Danny, actually downloaded that the other night but haven’t gotten around to installing just yet. Sadly, it’s my “something for the weekend” :-)
I definitely find lightroom best from a workflow point of view. I installed Bibble the other evening and I can’t get my head around it. Spent ages looking for the way to convert a shot to black and white using the channel mixer… couldn’t find it.
Back to lightroom I think.
May be an idea to get off my arse and take advantage of the introductory pricing while it lasts…!
One thing that bugs me about lightroom is the rotate tool. At least in the latest beta I have installed at the moment. Really tricky to rotate in small increments, unless you type in the numbers manually. But then, when you do it that way, you don’t have the benefit of the grid overlay. Has that changed in the latest version?
