It’s the second one for us!

nothing wrong with the first one – just prefer the simplicity of the second. Maybe we’re a bit different than everyone else! (Nowt wrong with that, sur!!)

    Great shots

Nowt wrong with the crop in our opinions – great lead in line and fantastic B&W conversion.

Although a pano would work you would lose too much of that lead in line.

Although maybe a 3:1 crop, losing a wee bit off the sky would balance the composition that wee bit more.

Love the dark skies in this type of shot by the way.

    Great shot.

Have you thought about trying an 80/20 crop and lose a bit of the sky, it would bring more attention to the foreground which is superb!!!!!

On the other hand Dee thinks that you could possibly get a square crop using the large rock on the right as your lead in line.

But hey, it’s still a great shot.

The Murder Hole – Boyeeghter Strand, great light and fantastic foreground.

We wound have tried for an 80/20 crop and a bit more foreground detail, but that’s our personal taste, we’d still give it wall space in our house.

Beautiful light, strong composition, calm, serene, evocative…you get my drift?

    Worthy of any wall!

At the end of the day, whether or not you like his music, style or whatever – you have to respect the man’s ability. We may prefer Bonham, Ward or Peart but that may be clouded by the fact that they played in some of our favourite bands. So was it that the drummer was great or was it that the music was?

Also they’re drummers – they only hang around with musicians anyway!!!! :-)

Joking people – before I get a mad barrage of drummers with hurt feelings (egos)!!

    As if drummers had feelings…

There wasn’t actually that much processing done of the church – it just does stand right out of its surroundings!

Maybe you’re wrong, maybe you’re right about the foreground – as you can see we’re very decisive too!! We like it anyway!

Actually it looks pretty fine when printed.

Thanks for taking the time to comment – appreciate it.

Thanks for the comment Mark – we haven’t really worked on the colour version of this one. It was taken with the intention of always being b&w. Just personal preference on our part really.

We think this would be beter with a square format – a wee bit off the top and bottom basically would make this stand out even more

    Fantasti foreground rocks though!!

Fantastic shot – well thought out and executed.

Might be tempted to try a square crop though!

    Well done.

Love the form and texture of these – maybe just a tiny wee bit bright on the second one but the light on the first is fantastic.

    Great job!
