I think if you broke the image up you would get a couple of interesting studies, for example the man and woman to the left would make a nice crop I think, really you have, at least, about 3 decent studies in that one shot, its just a thought but it’s the first thing I noticed when I looked at it.
Also heard that if you soak a tampon in water and nuke it in a microwave for a minute or two then place it behind a plate of what is supposed to be hot food you get a good illusion of steam coming of the plate
I think color wise they are nice but the lower portions of the images are a bit dark, its an interesting subject and one I’m sure if you go back to a few times you’ll get some great images
I agree with you Alan, I use a 28mm to 90mm usually set at 50mm and I also use a prime 50mm and 85mm but I find the primes are the best because they’re faster which really helps things.

Yeah, I agree, a little. But post processing is no way to hide my sins in street photography. If you dont get the shot, you dont get the shot. And I missed a belter here I think.
i think you’re being a bit hard on yourself there, although I know from sorry experience when you see an image and you know if only you had done something different, and the chance of the same composition happening again, and if something else was in the frame to balance the scene and…….well I could go on. If you’re in the area again, give it another go, it may work, it may not, that’s what I love about this type of photography
I think they’re good, nice contrast and tones, and the distance doesn’t take from the shots.
What’s the saying for street photography ? get close then take two steps closer.
I’ve held on to my old monitor so maybe I’ll look at the image on that, the only thing that worries me really is if viewing an imge on the latop how can I be sure what I’m doing to it is correct,I mean all it takes is to move my eyeline either up or down and the image changes (and not for the better)
