Very nice selection of images.
The only fault I could point out is that the sky is blown in some of them. Have you considered using filters?
Well done, thanks for sharing.
Very dramatic indeed.
I don’t have much of a problem with the composition here… the only fault I can find is that extremely bright spot in the sky… I think it’s blown and it’s very distracting.
Is this HDR?
Didn’t get to enter Round 1 but am hoping to submit something for future rounds.
Well done to all involved.
Dick
why no answers?
Maybe it’s one of those bird centres and the OP doesn’t want anyone to know?
Great shot.
Good set… I like them a lot.
Nice composition but the saturation of the blue in the sky needs to be addressed. Maybe warm up the white balance a bit.
I’d crop out some of the foreground.
Maybe fix the halo around the trees on the left.
The sky is blown in parts, so I’d look at replacing it.
The shadows cast on the side on the tallest building look a bit odd… sort of un-even.
Hope this helps.
Dick.
No problems Mark – apologies accepted :)

So stating that you love HDR is a breach of site rules?
Apologies – I like HDR, I like the fantasy look and the effect it can give an image. I hope this settles the confusion.
Is this HDR, really?
It doesn’t look overcooked at all.
Some people hate HDR (feckin cliques), but personally I love it. You know art is subjective of course.
Good to see people availing of 21st century post processing techniques.
Well done, nice one.
This is such a useful feature so as to demonstrate to others how an image may be enhanced with some editing.
Well… that may be true but to quote yourself from this thread… viewforum.php?f=11” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
HDR done badly is dreadful – and most of my stuff falls into this category so far.
… I’m wondering are you best qualified to be offering such edits?
Just an opinion of course and I am sure the OP will accept your apology once he has had sufficient time to mourn.
Best Regards,
Edit – spelling correction :)
If it were me the first thing I’d do is change the “Edit my pics” profile setting to ‘No’.
This country needs a ‘cruelty to photos’ act put into law as soon as possible to have the likes of brendancullen put behind bars.
Well done.
