To be honest I haven’t used the SB600 on the D200 for a while but I’ll check it out. I’m out of the country at the moment only have my trusty D70 with me. I’ll let you know when I return to the emerald isle
I have an SB600 which is fully compatible with my Nikon D70. I bought a D200 early this year and it is not fully compatible with the D200 so if you select the SB600 check it’s compatibility with your camera.
Interesting comments, I always used a UV filter as protection but based on some of the comments above and given that I have never scratched a UV filter I think I will remove the filter from my primary lens and check out the results.
Carry it on Ali – on all trips abroad I bring my trusty D70. I remove the lens and bring the two together as carry on in my Laptop bag. The camera and lens won’t fit into it when attached.
Thorsten you are well supllied with models compared to those of us who live west of the Shannon as for Derry/Belfast if you throw a roll of b/w film it would hit a model. Have a look in OMP and IMAPP and take your pick MCD.
I know Thorsten said “Never Say Never” but I during a recent trip my camera went through four different airport scanners with no “known” ill effects. If the scanning equipment affected a memory stick it may also affect Laptops which would cause mayhem all over the place.
I hadn’t heard of this before but afraid I’m not going to try it out – but then again if I set up the D70 on a tripod and attach the D200 using cable ties and then ……… No I don’t think I’ll bother
I bought a D70 from them a couple of year back great service although the manual was in French. It’s easy to download an English version from the internet though, I prefer the A4 size anyway.
