I don’t know about over there but here in the US I just purchased a “rider” on my home owners for all my camera and compter gear. I am covered for about anything that could happen. There is no dedcutable and this “rider” was only $78 per year. Since I’m coming to Irlend next motnh I thought this was a small price to pay to cover my gear.

Greetings, There is always so much to learn and once you think you got it, things change…. Anyway, metering, white balance, shutter speed, apeture etc all work together. Check out this link about calibration targets. I do have the small one and when I remeber to use it, results are worth it.

It is a very small world Mel.b.. You see my wife and I are coming to Ireland on 9/8/08 and I too wanted my gear insured. I added a “rider” to my home owners policy. Gear value is $5500 and anual insrance cost is $78. If you have renters insurance you can check with them.. Hope you are looking foward your trip as we are…. Most of our time will be spent in County Clare. Where are you going?

Any suggestions on great photo opportunites in County Clare?
