    Looks like a lovely beach.

The first one has the most potential anyway. The mood is great. What is that in the middle. A stick or a rock?

Not feeling much for the third one though. I think the sun is too burnt out. And theres not much happening in foreground.

    nice shot. really sharp!!

the only thing i would suggest is to rotate it a slight bit to get them vertical lines vertical.

or! crop out the bottom third? and make it abstract.

well heres that photo as promised. Shot this today. Only got the one location. Will leave the other for another day.
    The tree is sharper anyway.

So what do you’s think now??

it def. has or had potential. Theres alot of black at the bottom. But im not sure if a tighter crop (top and bottom) would even work. Maybe!?

    thanks,

I plan on going out to shoot these again this week. The softness is a combination of photoshop and possibly a bit of camera shake. It was really stormy when i took these and i could do with a better tripod. (but the good ones are sooo expensive  )

Im still playing around with them on photoshop doing a few different versions. Ill try one not so soft and post it.

    hi mort,

i actually like what you have done with these photos. cant really say why but i do. i love the colours and athmosphere you have created. its great to experiment. im at it all the time with some of my photos till they look more like a painting.

i must check out this Holga person.

    hi j
i like the first image. but when i see it, i imagine it as having a potential graphic design feel to it. something a bit experimental.
i just put up the contrast and adusted the levels. might not be to everyones taste.

i prefer the b&w one anyway. cant give you a good explanation why. Its just more pleasing to the eye. great lighting and DOF.

The handle of the mask is the only problem i have with the image, but theres not a whole lot you can do about that.

    thanks guys.

Im a fan of them type of looks too. i usually have the far-away look myself.

Done a fast photoshop job on it. might have made it a tad too soft. Im not a fan of portraits being too soft. Just a little sometimes. and i hate it when the white of the eyes are made too white. but im always seeing it in magazines and photographers windows. I dont think its very natural.
