big big thanks to everyone for making my first PI outing very enjoyable, it was great craic and good weekend for sure.
I’m just about recovering from last night and have now uploaded a few shots from the last two days.
Great location, I’l definitely be back there for there.
BIG THANKS to Sean and Cahill for the lift down and thanks Cahill for the advanced warning wrt farts.
I’ve uploaded a few pics to flickr and will do so here in due course :)
If so, I’d really appreciate it. Also notice that you’re staying over night which is good for me too.
I’ll also publish this on the group.
Although this is my first PI trip I ran into you guys on the Saltees trip.
And someone from Dongal asked me to take a photo of him and his two buddies just before leaving the island.
Was that yourself?
I started a night class last september and I have to say that it’s been great.
The best thing is that it forces you to learn the basics.
We’ve just started the second assigment using b+w film where we also develop and print the images. The first and last use digital.
One thing you learn is how free you are with digital and although everyone is finding it tough going back to film (and using film for the first time in some cases) the general concenus is that you have to take more time and thought into the process of creating an image.
If you can find a course that gives you a qualification then i think you’ll learn more I think.
One thing though, our first homework was to take a photo using every setting your camera can be set at so you can see the results.
Yes, most turn out blurred and overexposed but the exercise takes you around every button and setting and shutter speed and aperture.
Unfortunately the course is up north so its a different qualification (GCSE) but I’m sure your local tech might run something.
Thanks alot for the comments and I’ll use the FastStone Photo Resizer next time.
Yes, sloping and unlevel horiszons are a common issue in the images I take but practice makes perfect :)
I downloaded FastStone Photo Resizer and resized another image :)
