Is that the 75-300mm IS or the 70-300mm IS that I was looking for?

    Cheers,

    Hi Ballyman,

I can’t let her go for that low. My absolute bottom price is €1050.

If I might chime in, it’s a great lens for sports although in poor light you will be limited by the f/4.

This would be handy for my cricket coverage. Now to see if I can get it or not.

    Hi Ken,

I had fun with school cricket one day when I had the 600L:

I’m sure the 500L would be similar.

If you don’t mind, I would like to send the lens in to have the AF checked because I want to make sure it’s in good condition before I sell it.

Love your flickr shots. Do you work with an agency? Added you as a contact!

Here it is. I’m off to China this month so it’ll get a real work-out there. I’ll post more images next month!

Please post some of your results here!

Here’s a shot from last week. Tokina 16mm and f/2.8.

Click All sizes to get a view of just how sharp it is. I’ve applied standard USM of 130, 0.3, 1 to the image.

I think it’s pretty amazing for a wide-open shot. Kudos to Tokina.

    Looking forward to it.. :D

Speaking of you having a few lenses…I noticed that most of yours are primes….cool.

I’m in London at the moment. Will post results when I get back on Saturday night. Yes, I’ve a prime collection these days. It used to be just a 17-40, 50, 70-200 and 300. That was a great set at the time but recently I decided to go the prime route and see what that’s like.

I have the 10-22 and i just love it its a great great lens with a L quality (from what Pro’s say)
But there is a tokina 11-16mm F.2.8 that is new i think is just out in Japan for the moment, and from what ived heard its better then the 10-22 but i still got the 10-22 maybe check out that tokine :)

I have the Tokina 11-16mm and can confirm it’s a great lens. It’s easily the sharpest lens I own (and I own a few!). Will be giving it a test out tomorrow in real life conditions.
