Hello Mici Jenny.. and Gareth. Really appreciate the comments and time taken to critique the shots. You are of course right about the placement of the Heron, and I think on another forum ( Canon CFF ), I cropped the image and took a little away behind’ the bird..
I was just amazed at the performance of the 100-400 in allowing a long shutter speed ( low ISO ) and stabalizer to get the blurred water…
I would have loved to see the image larger on the screen. I am admittedly using a Laptop at this time, but I am sure a bigger pic would really do your image justice. The scene does look Idyllic however.
I have to agree with Brianmaci… It is worth buying from a reputable dealer… I also have used Conns over the years..Two 1D Camera’s and five L lenses… They always loan out lenses and Cameras whilst own in for repair, free of charge and service is excellent. Highly recommended.
