Well, by tighter crop, I meant something along the lines of a panoramic crop incorporating the space to the left (And the left only) to use the rule of thirds. The wall at the top is quite distracting.
He dosn’t have to be advertising the guitar. You might not like the idea of toying with the photos too much, but if it were managable, I’d layer those 2 photos on top of each other. Get some bizarre (and interesting) focusing on it…
Last one is nice, the others I wouldn’t be too sure of.
Second one is in need of a nice tight crop, the first is kinda dull. Maybe if the head of the guitar was in focus, and himself not in focus. Or prehaps layer the one of the head in focus and him in focus together to get an unusual effect?
Post processing wise, they’re VERY grey, maybe some more playing about with the levels would bring them out!
Hmmm, If I were you I woulda stuck with 1600 iso and no flash…But that’s just the way I do things.
For the image above… I would process it differently. An overall increase in curves to blacken out the background a bit more. There’s nothing wrong with framing someone in it though.
The Black wall to the left is kinda distracting compared to the blue stagelight.
Following this, reopen curves, and select green, and bring the contrast up a bit in that, to give her a better tone.
And a crop to the bottom too, above where there’s a line in the stage.
