    Thanks for the replies folks,
I can’t disagree with the comments regarding composition,
I took a good few frames at this location,
I struggled to “see” a really decent composition,
As regards the shadows in the shot,
When I think of IR mono shots,
I see hard contrast mono shots,
I’ve always thought that shadows in IR shots tend to add to the impact of these shots,
It’s one of the elements that separates IR from “normal” mono
I’ve attached a couple more images from the same location
    Anyways,
    Thanks again for the replies
    Always appreciated

I’m not sure your getting the best from this one,
The lighting looks a bit flat,
The church doesn’t really stand out in the frame,
I’d be tempted to play around with a curves and or levels layer in PS,
I think you need to add a bit of contrast to get the most from your shot

    Some fine shots there Dave,
I’ll talk about the second one,
It’s the kind of shot I’d attempt myself on occasion,
It’s a fine shot as is,
I’d try a square crop, losing the left portion of the frame.

    I like this
I suppose the obvious question is,those the red buoy/ball need to be there,
    I’m not convinced its needed,
It’s a really nice image with or without,
    Well done

Can you tell me where your located,
    How old is lens,
Are you the original owner,if so,
    Where did you purchase?

Theres not a lot wrong with the conversion,
I reckon it’s the light that’s probably a bit flat,
Looking at the shot the sun appears to be directly overhead, and it looks like a cloudless sky,
It might be better to shoot this when the sun is lower ,morning/evening.
That way the shadows can be used to strengthen the composition,
If there were some clouds in the sky, it will add a bit more contrast to your shot,
    Hope this helps,

    Thanks folks,
John,I was asking for a bit of critique because,as much as I appreciate people taking the time to make any comment(good or bad),
Maybe someone has a suggestion that might improve the image,
As u suggested maybe a different crop(which works well),
I actually think the shot is a little gimmicky ,
The technique used is fairly simple,
One day I like the image, the next day I’m not so sure. :?
It was used in Club panel recently, and Iwas a little surprised that it was used.
Anyway, thanks again for the replies .

Folks, thank you for your comments,
I was hoping to get a little critique on this image,
Its one that had to be helped a little in PS.
The headland was at the other side of the image,
I swopped it over ‘cos I thought it balanced the image a little better,
    Again thanks for commenting

    Hi Dave
It’s a difficult LH to shoot
I’ve never really got a shot of it that I was happy with
    You’ve done well here
    I’d vote for the mono
Have you tried playing around with the WB
The street lighting is giving it a bit of a warm color
    Maybe a cooler WB ??
    Either way,
    Nice work

I think you’ve done very well here,
Love the glinting sun coming from the large turbine
Maybe try removing the smaller turbines at either side of the frame
    Other then that
    I wouldn’t touch a thing :)
