Thanks guys. I shot this on a cold January morning bout 7.30 am no filters or photoshop.
Although I dont like the stationery bus it does balance the dome on the right hand side which is a little bit strong. Exposure was about 20-40 sec f11…….

I have thought for a long time of joining the Dublin camera club, do lets know your thoughts. I went as a guest once to a slide show which I really enjoyed but was bored by all the techies looking for info ????

Well Hauke as long as you are happy with your images thats all that matters. It’s good to get constructive criticism and advice, it does help, but once your happy with what you produce your winning……

Hi Davec, Gerryg lippa here. Basically the ippa is a organisation for full time professional photographers, [their words].
They have ongoing contests culminating in a dinner dance and award ceremony. The best thing is their distinctions. A licentiate member [such as I ] gets to use the lippa term on all my business literature and if I like I can also raise my fees {?}. After licentate is associate then fellow which is not a bad thing to have. Obivously there is a membership fee and various meetings around Ireland…..To get to lippa you have to submit about 20 pieces of your work which is judged by a panel of your peers ???. I find it worth having the lippa distinction although I have never attended any of their meetings….
Hope this is of some use !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Ciaran, my gallery membership expired ages ago……am on a very long finger. Have you ever had a look at the photography section of the ngi bookshop. They have some fantastic {and expensive},books there on most styles…Take a look sometime.
