hmmm…how do you position ur lights? i can see a tiny catchlight is this ur on-camera flash? my suggestion is to put one light on a shelf and use just one of them till you get more experience. You can throw any questions you have and I’d be happy to help.

6 is my fav, 1 would be probably best of all if the skin tones were more even, there is at least 3 different colour casts (pinkish, orange and yellow-greenish ), unless my screen is fooling me. Once the model is happy with them that’s the main thing.
Keep them coming would love to see more :-)

Thanks a lot for your kind comments, unfortunatelly we didn’t have too much time in that outdoor location (4) so we were rushing before wedding guests arrived (we were shooting at the hotel lobby)
The bouquet (6) is just fabric flowers on rubber bands (you can buy them from… no avertising :-) ) This was actually stylist’s idea.
First time in front of camera I guess we might work on expressions next time, although I didn’t find it weird before you actually mentioned it. I need to think about it ;-)
Thanks again and just couple more, different post-work.

Would like to help but need more details. It sounds like you have the proper gear for a group shot. Speedlight might be an advantage on the other hand if you only learning to light with strobes this might be more of a challange. Getting technicals might be sometimes less important than a great concept. I would focus on the latter.
I sometimes use YN-460 II for my work so fire away if you have any questions.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunatelly we met only once for couple hours and covered few different looks and I didn’t honestly have a chance to get to know her very well. That’s why I decided to stay neutral about the way she looked, freckels are quite important for her but she never suggested emphasising this feature :-). From what I know some other photographers decided to remove them completly, I wanted to be on a safe side and left them exactly the way they looked in real life.
I hope that explains some things. Thanks again for an inspiring comment.

Lovely set, great lighting and beautifully captured emotions. A bit of vignetting sets the mood, nice BW conversion too. Well done!
    Pozdrawiam :-)

Thanks guys, glad you like them. Set up is quite complicated so I need to concentrate not to mess up to much.
One softbox in front up high, 2×3 feet, 300ws strobe minimum power for key (shallow DOF), one DIY triflector around waist line, one 3×4 feet softbox camera right behind model as rim, one 42 inches reflector camera left behind model bouncing light from bigger softbox as rim as well.
One speedlight with 1/2 CTO gel pointing at background about 4-5 feet behind model very low. Well I think that’s it.
I’ll try to post a couple more from this set up.

This cropping seems perfectly fine, love your BW conversion, lots of detail and good sharpness. Great work!

I like lighting and post-processing here, not so sure about the crop, her neck seems very short. Great work otherwise.

My main card would be Sandisk III Extreme 30mb/s I’m very happy with it seems to be just perfect for my needs.
Hama and Kingston are pretty good too, used them both.
