Thanks everyone for your help and advice. Some good stuff here!
I suppose its all a learning curve and I have sure learnt a lot during this experience. They are very happy with the ones I did give them originally but they just wanted the bad ones too!
Thanks again all
Grant
Ashley,
Thanks for a thorough and helpful reply as always…
Eas,
I was rather hoping for advice and helpful replies rather than a sarcastic remark like yours.
It was my first ever wedding and I felt it was fair to do it for free as many do I’m sure. I don’t see any advice or help within your answer and don’t see why you posted a response other than to be smart?
If I’m wrong please let me know but otherwise keep your worthless opinions to yourself.
Thanks everyone for your replies.
They have all been a good help to me and I will now be shooting in RAW format!
Aoluain,
That link you posted is excellent! Thanks for that. I’ve spent hours reading about loads of topics. Its full of information. It gave me a real understanding of what happens and why.
Thanks guys for your replies.
So say for instance I do a few photos at a friends wedding and I wish to use them on my website portfolio, apart from asking their permission, should I get them to sign a release form just to cover myself? Is this the norm? What if they were a guest and I didn’t ask permission?
Also,
How do I go about getting a release form? Are they a standard template or do I need a solicitor to draw one up?
Jenny,
I took your advice and downloaded a trial of Adobe Lightroom 2. I have played around with a few of my photo’s now even though there is a lot I have to learn!
Mitch,
Yeah, I intended for the cropped look. I am just playing around with different styles etc to find my feet.
See what you think of my edited images and I’d love to hear what you think.
