For those that acquire a mac i have found that iphoto in conjunction with photobucket is the absolute easiest way to go, much more straight forward than any windows application i came across
Thanks for your reply, apologies for the lack of clarity, what I am actually looking is how to embed photos on this site but using a mac operating system. Previously i have used irfanview to facilitate getting the pictures onto the site but it doesn’t appear to work with a MAC. Any ideas anyone?
I love Portstewart and I think this captures the place fantastically. I am not the most knowledgeable on this site by any stretch of the imagination but I would have no idea how to achieve this and tip my hat to you. a pleasure to look at and one for the wall. IMHO
Clears up a number of issues for me, i thought I was dupilcating all my images in elements and in ‘my documents’ so at least that clarifies that for me and explains why i have ‘lost’ a few pictures in organizer. Appreciate your time with this slightly mundane issue, have to find another way to free up some space!
1. Are the photographgs in the organiser actually ‘there’ or is that purely a tool for organising them?
2. And by implication then must i retain the photographs in the picture folder of ‘My documents’?
3. I have an external hard drive on which the images are also stored which is someting crazy like a trillion gig! If the external drive was connected to my laptop would that mean i could delete the images from the ‘my documents’ folder to free up some space and then organiser would still find them and they could be opened in editor as normal?
Your pictures look like they are quite good but you need to imbed them at a viewable size. Peolple will comment but far fewer than if the photograghs were at a size people could easily view. Search ‘irfanview’ on the site if you need some advice as to how to post them at a bigger size. Hope this helps.
Have to say looked at this for ages, not sure if i could make my mind up about it. Decided, really like , very enchanting and from my perspective as a novice its interesting to see you technique and composition.
By the way Alan thanks for the comments on Portstewart by Night, us newbies post with some trepidation!
Just back from the north coast myself. Great set of shots, not too sure about number 2 not quite sure what i shole be looking at , however number 6 is fabulous. Great shot, well captured. One for the wall, really really like it
Bit of a poser alright but i think for the work i enjoy , landscapes and buildings etc the wide angle was a no brainer for me. But sure if you buy a macro, we could maybe pool resources and compare results!
