The whole “series” was just an experiment, and I think some have come across really sad, and emotional, and some have come across- junkie, both are good- as long as they are coming across as something. When i gainmore experience I’ll try for more specific themes.
Well not to detract from the “power” of the shot- the barbed wire is around a fence, which is gurading a building site. So Nothing political, or interesting in any way {see fence and crane for the same building site- although different barbed wire}
It’s a really nice shot. I like the dark silouettes against the blue sky. Its really cool- although nothing really indicates Pagens, other than the description. Still great though.
A Nikon D70 {ok ill settle for D50} with a cuple of memory cards, a nice flash, and three different lenses- one that’ll be great for Portraits, one for misc, and one that’ll be cool for live bands, and action shots! A Tripod, and a nice camera bag… and a selction box.
fat chance!
Thank you for taking the time to look, and comment Ciaran!
I do see what you mean about the slight flatness, im using a bit or a scrapper camera at the moment- {Nytech 4020} so there is only SO much i can do. I am hoping however someone will take me up on my ludicrously ot hinting {leaving the jessops catalougue out, opened, circling the camera i want} and buy me a digital SLR for christmas!
On the second one, I am new to photography, and new to photoshop, and I am just learning, and experimenting at the moment, with different styles and tools, in order to be profeciant in photography. Don’t get me wrong though, i beleive that it’s more important to take a great photo- than it is to make a mediocre photo look snazzy by photoshopping it to death!
It’s all just trial and error for meat the moment, and Photoshop is a great way for me to learn, and understand about lighting, as well as playing around with effects.
