Looks like a very interesting place Jenny. I like this image as it is, a document of the place.
It’s unusual to see a graveyard so exposed, most I can think of are surrounded by trees. It’s also unusual to see headstones seemingly so displaced or unordered. The crop could work well, but that near head stone is a nice point of reference. Maybe a slightly wider view would add something.
Guys, thanks for the advice/support… You’re all right.
Haven’t had any face to face meetings with this client as yet, I find people are a lot pushier online, and this guy contacted me via Facebook, people seem to be even pushier on Facebook.
So if I’ve learned anything from this…
Leads from Facebook, direct them to email
turn emails into phone calls as soon as possible
set up face to face meetings
the price is the price, don’t waiver
deposits paid
contract signed (this is something I currently don’t have, but really need to sort quickly)
Good to hear from you all and thanks again, much appreciated.
Nice work. I like the tones. I do think you could experiment with the placement of the text though. Particularly in the first picture as it’s a tad imposing. Good work though!
These are good. Very contemporary. I like the composition in the first, there’s room to add text without imposing on the actual picture, so would work well in a publication.
thanks for the advice. I had a feeling it wasn’t software related, the whoo whoo whoo was making me think it was more sinister. Friggin bulb on the bottom bed is out. Just spoke to Epson support. £195 to get it fixed. I swear, I could actually cry. This could not have happened me a worse time!
Would any of you happen to have any contacts who could help me?
It’s in France, Alps and where Mont Blanc is. Beautiful place.
I know many will dislike the flare, but, I kinda like it, which is a good thing as I have almost 1.5 GB worth of flare!!
Your right, more detail in the second.
It’s never easy making the first post, so well done.
This is interesting, but, I might agree with Tex on some levels, it’s almost as if you have two pictures here, you could split it right in the middle and have a cow picture and a rock picture. It would make a nice little diptych.
It’s also very contrasty, the highlights are blown, and while that’s not the crime some would make it out to be, you do need to keep an eye on them.
As for the title… Well, I can’t offer any help there, I’m prone to calling mine odd things too!
Really excellent portraits, very natural, especially the second, the framing on the second wins it for me.
The freckles in the second and the slightly food stained face on the first, both magic!
This is brilliant Jenny! I’ve been lucky enough to spot a few around the Mournes recently, we even had them soaring over our house (in Warrenpoint) too. Great to see some pictures of them. I wasn’t that lucky :(
