Thanks Jenny i was just having a nose and saw your image. I’d even forgotten my login. Just had to leave a comment for you as super image. It’s great to see everyones ability is rocketing Jason
Beautiful images as usual. Never been there and the building is quite an interesting structure in the landscape bit disney castle-ish. The mono image is exceptional you should definitely print that one big, of the colour they are all great but if you wanted a choice it would be #1 #2 and #3 for me
Enjoying these posts for your trip. You got great light (or planned/persevered till the light was great). I especially like the mono and #1 in this set.
yes you really need a good clear night the passing clouds did affect this image at the pole star and left particularly, the orange glow from wicklow or bray i dont mind as without it the mountain might fade into darkness. The planes yeah its amazing how many pass there in space of 20mins, i dont even remember seeing the plane that made the curving flightpath but it is an interesting one for sure
nice looking morning, and looks like good stitch on the images, the right side is a little muted in comparison to left. I expect its not result of software but actually just the way you saw it. I wonder if a little saturation boost or darkening on the blues on the right might help balance the overall. Very nice.
i had same debate myself a while back when moving up from 450d – though i was looking mainly at 60d or 7d – i ended up going with 60d and the camera is far superior to 450d. i reckon the 650d/700d would be good option too but 60d would be my choice if you can make the stretch r find a good deal. much better handholding size, the high ISO (even 3200 gives great images), remote flash triggering, speed of focus and the fact i’d lots of sd cards all helped make my decision.
Best of luck whatever you choose theyll be great as 400d is getting a bit old now.
