Thanks for the link, but argos have none in stock anywhere in the country.
I rang a local supplier in swords and they were offering the kit for 699 and I mentioned argos had reduced to 515 and he said that he could sell them at that price as well if he had none in stock.. I don’t really get his point, surely argos will get them back in stock retailing at the discount price…
First of all the guy I dealt with was decent and put some effort into helping me and finding my receipt so fair play there.
Apparently he reckons that the warranty only covers mechanical problems, he said he would happily send it to sony but they would more than likely send it back saying it was accidental damage and possibly impose a charge and if they did elect to fix it they would charge me for replacing the LCD and shipping etc.
He told me the only way the LCD can break is due to dropping or excess pressure.
so it looks like I am having to run a new camera purchase by the woman of the house…
John, I only wanted to know did folks reckon it was worth my time trying.
Believe me I am the last person to cheat or fool someone, I mean if it was a good supplier and they looked after me in the past, I do agree about being up front and getting a solution at a reasonable cost. But surely you know Dixons are not going to treat me like that and thats why I have to act in this way with them.
I have a good memory but I don’t need it to recall lies if thats what your implying. I would have no problem chancing my arm as it goes on it a lot more places.
I being ripped off in this country, so I would have no hiccups doing it.
If I am to be honest in any dealings with a supplier what am I going to receive……..”have a nice day” response. And even if I was willing to get the LCD repaired which I probably would, they are going to try and ride me to death on the cost of repair also. You may well believe what I am doing is wrong but I don’t, I am merely reciprocating what they try and do to me.
