I finally got around to pulling out some of the shadow details from the RAW file. Is this better?

Thanks again for the C&C guys. Here’s a version without the cottage. I think it’s stronger without it as it was a bit distracting.

Thanks sndipo! I smoothed the skin a little but I didn’t do a whole lot with it. Maybe she has natural fairy-ish skin?! The colour was heavily worked all right – I’m glad you like it. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks Jenny. I wasn’t sure about the little cottage myself. I might try making the roof more obvious or I might just scrap it altogether. Thanks for the feedback.

There’s no particular reason for the series, I just got a notion!

Lovely set. The last 3 are my favs but they all have great light and expressions. Well seen!

Beautiful pano. It’s all too easy to put the foot to the floor on the saturation slider for bluebells but I like the natural look of this shot.

Beautiful shots Gary. I prefer the first, the sky is amazing.

    Thanks folks! :D

I felt the same way, but I wasn’t sure if the intrigue worked or not. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks very much guys – glad you like the new version. I didn’t fancy reworking it a third time! :)

I’ve posted the original on my blog http://kevoto.com/513 if you want to see the unprocessed file for comparison. And the other fairy shot that brendancullen was referring to can be seen here http://kevoto.com/435

    Thanks for your help.

Thanks very much for the comments guys – I appreciate it. I’ve reworked the image based on your feedback – here’s the new version. Is it an improvement?

Thanks John. I thought the same thing myself about breaking the horizon, but as you say, abseiling wasn’t an option! Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback folks. The lighting was a single bare speedlight just over my right shoulder.

It’s composite image, with the bird added in post.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I’ll see if I can drag any detail form the RAW file.

Smashing shot! Perfect lighting to just reveal enough detail.
