sorry its out Blanchardstown direction. I work out near Walkinstown which is just of the Red Luas line. Im working on Monday and wont be able to make it near city centre until after 7pm. Maybe we could meet up on your way home? I can PM you further details.
i think even all the ones mentioned would be too big for her and i dont think she would use have the features. she is more of a point and shoot girl and isnt into photography as much as me. So with that taken into account i think the Panasonic Lumix ZS3 is a good choice:
Sounds like you have Red Eye Reduction on. Very easy to do on the Nikons without realising it. Press in the Flash Button on the left of the camera and move either the front or rear dials (I can’t remember which one right now). The LCD screen at the top should clear except for the flash settings. If you see the flash symbol and the eye symbol in the square then move the dial until you just see the flash symbol only. This should solve your problem,
Dave
OMG your a life saver! so simple to turn it off, im sorted now thanks! so the 3 pre flashes are there to stop red eye reduction which i thought was only a problem when you use compact flash cameras built into the body where people would be looking directly into the flash. must have been on by default! Thanks! :D
so my 8 million dollar home arrived today from US since you cant buy it anywhere else! it should easily fit all my gear plus room for my future purchases. I just got the plain black/grey one so it doesnt stand out too much worked out quite expensive delivery and sales tax though :( should last me forever though :)
i had the 55-200 with my d60 but dropped it and cracked the lens! had a look at the 70-300 nikon and 70-200 Sigma f2,8 today in camera centre, i didnt realise the Sigma was so big, i think for the extra reach, portability, VR and price the Nikon is the one for me :)
just looking for something more than 105mm, sometimes i find i just cant get close enough to the action. i think since my first post that the 18-2200 sigma may not be much of an improvement over the 18-105 i have now so that narrows it down to the sigma 70-200 or Nikon 70-300
i was thinking of getting one of these for use with my D90. is it light enough to use handheld for a few hours also, does the lack of image stabilisation a major disadvantae?cant really find anything bad about this lens, would mainly be using it for car shows and the odd track day down at Mondello.
