Hey I just recently got this ring light, haven’t had a chance to try it out yet as I only got my macro lense today but it seems fine for 40 quid! As you say Deebo a stop gap, until I win the lotto that is!! So I guess now I’ve just got to find time to give it a go :)

Well thankfully we were all proven wrong, I recieved my lenses today! I must say if I had not read any of the bad reviews I would be praising SE as I can not fault them on this order and the lenses are perfect from what I can see. I dont know what to say to anyone considering them, I may have been lucky this time around but you can not ignore the hundreds of bad reports on the different websites.

Sure Chris, it was €535 in total.
Why’s that?
Just checked DHL and its left Dublin and in the Cork depot now…hopefully I’ll have it today or tomorrow.

Well its still within the 10 working days and I just checked the tracking number with DHL and there is an order showing that arrived in the sort facility in Gatwick last night and was shipped to Dublin this morning and is now being processed in Dublin. I still have hope :)
Also the email that I recieved from SE seems to be fine, it says that the order is being monitored and to let them know when I recieve it. Fingers crossed eh!!

Oh no are you serious???? I ordered two lenses from them the week before last…I’m still waiting on them…but I got an email this morning saying that they had been dispatched. Fingers crossed they will arrive!!!
What can I do if I dont get them??

Well I decided seeing as it was only 35 quid I’d go ahead and order it. I wont be buying a canon one any time soon so I’ll give this one a shot. I also ordered the lense today, so hopefully it’ll be as good as I hope. I went with the “cheaper” option as I couldn’t justify (or afford for that matter) the L series one for almost double the price. f Now I must just throw away my credit card before it explodes ha ha!!! Thanks again for all the advice.

Thanks everyone for your replys.
I’m still a little unsure but at the moment I’m swaying towards the cheaper option. I would LOVE the L series one but I dont think I can justify the extra money when I’m only starting to have an interest in Macro.
Another question is about the ring flashes….the canon one is sooo expensive!
