Don’t think any of local PROFESSIONAL photographers would like to teach or give a bit of advice to potential competitor in this business.
PS.nice gallery, you mentioned you’d be interested in wedding photography, r u quite expereinced in it?
those chaps r based in Hong Kong, this was only a trick registering themselves as Irelands based seller, they were quite rude when I emailed them asking about their real location, the man there start rumbling about being european reselller with warehouses based in HK bla bla, in short, if you fall to buying some expensive gear from them, there’s a high possible risk to be hit with VAT, customs duties, etc, if you ever decide to buy from HK, choose descent ebayers, kea-photo, urgalaxy, them might even assist you on reducing all taxes to minimum or even avooid them at all.
I never tried myself but you might try newly opened aldi photo services online. They offer variety of photobooks at reasonable rates as to me. As was mentioned above it might be crappy quality but you might order cheapest one for the start and if something goes wrong, simply claim for a full refund http://www.aldiphotos-print.ie/prices.php
Rob: tha point is, like they say, only digital cameras are duty free!when it comes to lenses, other photo gear no exemptions!Could you share with your experince , how did you manage to save your $$$ on lens posted from B&H? did you ask them not to declare real value or something???
