    There’s a massive difference between using a pro lab and using Photobox just so you know. Photobox prints look almost soft when put side-by-side with a pro lab print…that applies to small 5×3.5 prints and up.

    Looks nice, but I’ll stick with Gorilla pods. The flexible nature makes them so much more versatile. The point & shoot small one is even better & more flexy than the bigger SLR version.

    Got this while in San Francisco in October, in his gallery, which is simply amazing. Only reason to go to Fishermans Wharf actually! – https://standhere.rodneyloughjr.com/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

    Just in the door today came Nat Geo’s Around the World in 125 years. I’m almost afraid to open it…it’s limited edition & a massive 3 volumes!

    Beautiful! What time of day was this taken?

    I think around 10:30/11am. I was up on the side of the mountain shooting Sligo covered in fog (http://www.markcapilitan-art.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/sligo_086.jpg” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;), before making my way up to the top & the cairn & arrived to find this fogbow going over the cairn!

    Not sure what your problem with the camera is. But I have one and the shutter died around 70k….they can go sooner than Canon say. Err99 tends to be a catch all problem, could be a range of things. Send it to ISS Canon to service it.

    No snow mark…they had had some the week before but it was bone dry and cool for the week

    Yeah, I seen that on the weather forecast when we getting ready to leave! At least you got into the park with the shutdown! Would love to hear about Yellowstone, somewhere that’s on my list…Yosemite in winter is next though!

    Murchu’s advice is good. And it works, most of the time (but not all)!! It’s the easiest solution to a crappy designed mouse. The functions of it are great though! I just wish they’d make a wired version of it.

    Aquatech’s are the best. But you’ll pay for the quality.

    Ballyman, it was anything but warm! It was indeed freezing cold with a biting wind! I forgot how cold it gets up there in September…it was worth freezing though for the light show we got!

    Murchu’s advice on scanning them into a contact sheet is your best, quickest option. But keep them for sure.

    It’s a tedious job trust me! When I worked with a motorsport agency I had to resheet hundreds of old negs so they could be scanned into contact sheets. It almost brought me to tears! But it lets you see what you have without doing a full scan (which takes time) & print which costs money.

    You’ll have no issues..years of travelling with photography work = no problem ever. I used to for weight saving purposes throw my batteries in my checked luggage, but I no longer travel with digital gear so I don’t anymore. Security might check/swab the stuff but it’s cameras, they’ve seen it all before. I find they’re more interested in film gear these days as they don’t see it very regularly. TSA in the US can be tough, but I find them nice to deal with if I need a hand check on film (especially when doing multiple transfers with a lot of xrays).

    I’d be more worried about getting a snow storm in Yellowstone in October than security! But a storm would make for amazing photos! Enjoy, I’ll be in some other parks further west at the same time!
