    Nice composition Steve

However I’d agree with Pat – where did the red come from? It gives the appearance of autumn time not winter/spring :? However maybe our trees/leaves are as confused as our weather…

Thanks for comments everyone. Most seem to like #3 – even my wife :D

GFox – I too like the B&W – it’s just somethin different to the usual waterfall pics…

Martin – noticed the dust. Will try and reprocess the raw file and see what I can get…

Pete – is that the dust u spotted?

John – The water was very brown after all the rain – it was prob too much water to get a nice white colour in the water.

    Thanks again

    Thanks for all the thoughts

I took up the idea of converting to B&W – what do you think of this?

Thanks Andy – looks a lot a better

There’s a lot to learn re editing photo’s – at the minute all mine are straight from the camera…

I like the colours in the sky

It may just be me – I find there’s a part of the cloud quite distracting 2cm above the sun about 1 cm from the top. My eyes are drawn to it to see what’s goin on up there…

    Is the horizon straight? :o

Thanks for the feedback – I was in newcastle last wk and liked the sky and clouds, the weaving stream plus the wee kids on the beach. But haven’t really taken shots like this before so wanted to see how they could be improved in every way – esp compositionally.

Graham, I’ll try converting to B&W to see what it looks like…

Andy, Go ahead and edit the photo’s I put up – I’ll update that wee part on my profile… What do you mean by 99% luminosity values under 140?

    Cheers

    Hi Denver

I was there at the beginning of March.

U are right – the flag pole is a little bent – no idea how to fix that… Maybe in real life it was :?

    Thanks for ur comments.

    Love the colours images 1,2 & 5….

Number 3 looks a little washed out compared to the rest of them…

Thanks for the comments Pete – will try and dedust the sensor too…

Not sure why the first one didn’t come out clearer – maybe my aperture was too small and the wind too strong for my tripod
