I’ve been using third party batteries (bought from 7 day shop) for my 30D and 40D since I got the cameras and have never had any problem with them. I normally have 2 of them in the battery grip and they last well to over 1000 pictures. So I would always go with the 3rd party ones.
I was experimenting a while ago with my RAW files and using different settings on my camera.
What I noticed was that Lightroom was only using the WB settings for my pictures. When I was looking at the RAW pictures on my catalogue software (iMatch), it looks like the setting of the camera were applied, but I think it was only looking at the internal JPG of the RAW, as it was able to view my 40D pictures in an older version without an update.
So it seems that the camera settings a applied to the internal JPG of the RAW picture, but not to the actual RAW data.
I know the guy in No.3, looks like they were squaring upto each other. Im sure thats not true though!
They actually were. The one on the left was accusing the one on the right to have moved into his shot of the Bugatti. I actually expected them to get more physical, but they were just shouting at each other.
Cool shots. #3 rocks. Did you have a pass to get on the other side of the barriers? I noticed a few pros with giant old 300 or 400 primes and a bunch of amatuers with short glass were able to get in while the rest of us had to grab snaps while the cars passed behind the trees.
Thanks for the comments.
Yes I did got a pass so I had the benefit of being nearer to the action and having a big tree as an umbrella yesterday.
Jaysus!! I thought I was bad firing off about 500 shots
That’s some trigger finger ya have Michael
It didn’t seem too many until I came home. I was there for both days and I still haven’t got the 5fps of my new 30D under control, so I quite often got 3 or 4 shots where I intended for 1 or 2.
