Fill flash – i dont think so! Street photography in Marrakesh is tricky enough without dragging attention to yourself. Sure, if you ask and and they agree and you get that kind of shot (which I’m totally fine with, and do regularly) but the the sneaky grab shot that you just couldn’t set up – It’s got to be done quietly. To my way of thinking anyway.
The settings were iso 800, F2.8 35mm on a full frame body (yes, I’m pretty close to this guy), 1/25 of a second, which is why I’m panning with him.
Yeah, that bag is bugging me too. But if you’ve shot there, you know how quick you need to be. I just love the expression, holding the coins, and the hand out looking for money. I’m not shooting for postcards or competitions, but I really like when I can catch a slice of life, that moment, that instant when a photo tells a story.

I nearly got into a row over having taken it, he was really ticked off. Ah well :-)
