    I’m flattered…thanks for the votes!
Processing: copied image, pasted and free transformed in Photoshop to get images in the sign. Otherwise just painted in background with black and tweaked levels.

You could still download it from Adobe website store and then burn the downloaded file to a DVD so you’d have a “hardcopy”, so to speak.

I can’t offer specific advice about professional photography, but I certainly hope that at 24 you don’t feel you’re too old to start anything! :)

Nice focus on the eyes and composition.

I took the liberty of de-purpling it a bit. I don’t know what colour the shirt should be, so I may have got it wrong!

Lovely shots. I think what’s “wrong” with the HDR shot is that the reflection of the sky is brighter than the sky itself, which is somewhat against the laws of physics :-) Apart from that, nice restrained use of HDR.
I really like the last one too.

Hi Lemon; welcome from another South African, who’s been in Dublin for 8 years.

The 2nd and 3rd work best for me. Nice balance of foreground interest and background, with lovely colours.

BM: that featureless area you see is called a cloudless sky :-) Happens quite a lot in SA…….

I subscribe to it. Superb magazine. Well worth it (of course, all the images are black and white!). Not only does it have excellent portfolios of work, but some very thoughtful articles too.

Right! Enjoy it. I haven’t done much sports shooting myself, but I’d like to try sometime.
Good to see a Springbok or two on your website!

I assume you mean the Women’s World Cup. The other one isn’t until 2011  Enjoy the trip!

Excuse the dumb question from a “non-national”, but what’s a fairy tree?
