Hi Dave, Did you try Back Button Focus and AI Servo Mode. I find it works a treat for these kind of events. Pick a subject, press and hold the BBF button and all the shutter release button does it take the shot, no refocusing. If you are using the shutter release button as focus and take the shot in standard AF mode there can be a lag and the subject will have moved just that little bit to make them soft…Mick

Great set Dave. The one between the Robin and the Blue Tit is a Dunnock. A great singing voice at this time of year.

The beak is wrong for a Greenfinch. I think it might be a Willow Warbler.

Hi Padraig, regardless of whether you were there to press the shutter release or not, you used your fieldcraft, knowledge of the subjects behaviour and photographic skills to capture another excellent image.
Without the patience and dedication you apply to getting these shots a lot of people would not even know what a Pine Marten looks like and it is always a pleasure to view them……./Mick

Thanks all for the comments, much appreciated. This particular Stag was so close I had a job to keep him in the frame on the 300mm lens.

    Thanks all for the comments.
Gerry I use jAlbum to create the gallery and upload it to my own domain. It is quite easy to use and create galleries but can take some time to upload changes if you make a lot at one time.
