I’ve have a 2x teleconvrter lined up already and the next lens on my list is a sigma 150-500. Effective range of 1600mm, sounds nice to me. Haha.

I should mention I braved the cold by being setup inside my front door which is west(ish) facing and opening and closing the door every few minutes. Managed to shoot the whole lot in a t-shirt!!

When time comes to get a 5d2 I may consider the sigma then but as its only possible for now its not a big concern. It won’t really be used for portraits or group shots although it may get used the odd time but not as a proper lens just what happens to be on.

The main use will be for still motor photography. In certain circumstances the 2.8 will allow for the correct dof that is required for certain shots.

Unfortunately the Sigma does have the f2.8 which I’m looking for. Hence the reason for the Tokina. Thanks for the reply though. Keep em coming.

It’s only the Carlow shop that had them. They had 3, I bought 2 of them. I’d say they probably have 1 left. They have them with a few months and no one bought them until I picked up the 2 of them.
