Last one is the pick for me, beautiful colours. I disagree with tex, in photo 4 I think the waterfall makes a great foreground object so is dominant anyway. Of course, as he says, it’s just my opinion.
Love the lava field. Last time I was there was in the dead of winter and the lava boulders looked like the surface of the moon.
Comment: something about the way you shot that seems to have the sky/background not meshing with the foreground. They sort pull part. My eyes flash back and forth from one to the other.
I’ve only just invested in a set of ND grads and I’m very much learning how to use them… this one was shot far too over exposed and rather than change the filter and try again (it was -2 and my fingers weren’t working too well!) I decided I would pull the exposure back in RAW processing. It kinda rescued it but I can see what you mean.
I bought this one and I have no complaints, for a fairly decent price you can get the whole kit and kaboodle. The pistol grip head is brilliant, it’s really intuative to use and easy to get the angle you wnat quickly. Requires a little explaining in airport security though :D
