Nice shot
My only issue is that I would like to see the boat angled into the fame as its quit close to the edge to be pointing out and maybe doesn’t look as good as it could?
Well handled overall so good work
Nice shot of a spot I know well
Not usually a fan of shooting directly at the sun like this but this one seems to work well.
A little on the dark side on the left but overall well shot.
Good work
Ok , just my 2 cents here but it does appear a bit too dark on the right of the frame.
Also, i think it could have worked better with the model looking into the empty space in the frame.
Funny you should mention she looked unhappy as about 20 mins later we had to call of the shoot as she was feeling unwell.
I did apply some slight softening to the face in photoshop , maybe its slightly over-done?
The reflectors will definitely help but before you invest why not just use some shiny White cardboard to see if it will help what you are trying to achieve.
Also if your flash has a tilt head , try bounce it off the ceiling for a more natural looking light.
Just thought I’d throw in my 2 cents on this one
The background appears to be a bit too busy but seems to work in the last shot as its brought into context and seems to suit the look I think you were going for.
The lighting however lets them down. While the model is well lit, it seems a little too flat. I would tend to use off camera flash for this kind of shoot to give it a bit of life and impact.
I’m also not a huge fan of selective colour. I think its a fad that thankfully is beginning to disappear.
Hey John,
Lovely shot, personally I like the empty space to the left.
Could definitely see this as a big print or canvas.
Maybe even a slight panoramic crop to take out the rock pool in the foreground might improve it.
Any filters in use here or just low light?
