    Rafal,

Its almost unbelievable to think that you can stand on the Eastern seaboard and catch a beach view of a sunset. I have been to this location and know it to be possible from this angle.

    Well done

    Oops, check out my Avatar!!

    Wow Jenny,

Congrats orion, very nice composition. I would consider taking out the weeds too. In fact try it yourself, not to post it, but to see what it would be like.

I’ll have to add this location into my TPE for future reference…

    Why take 30 images????

    Martin,

Thanks for asking. I use a Nodal Ninja panoramic head on my tripod. I have it set for 10 degree incremental rotation. I usually only have about 10 – 15 images in a pano. This time I had two rows and this obviously increases the number of frames.

The other issue is the speed that the darn sun comes up at. You just wouldn’t believe it. As I shoot fully manual: fixed ISO, Manual mode, fixed ‘K’ temperature within the camera. I can then us exposure fusion feature in my software when stitching. I have to do this because the light is changing so fast with the rising sun. Having more shots makes helps in the final output.

    Thanks again…

Good, good, no problem at all Miki, I know the green wasn’t the nicest shade that was what I was implying by saying ‘I didn’t pick it’. It eas definitely tooooo bright!!

Anyways, have a good weekend, look forward to see what you post next week.

    Miki G,

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I didn’t notice the arch being cropped. Where did you see that?

With regard to the green, I use color calibration no my monitor using the X-Rite i1 Display and have color profiles setup on my camera within Lightroom, using an X-Rite ColorChecker Passport. The greens, of which there were two levels of brightness, are a good rendition of the scene. They were a little gaudy OK, but hey I didn’t pick them!!

When shooting pano, I use all manual settings, including ISO and Color Temperature within the camera, to stop the camera for adjusting itself in any way.

    Thanks again Miki G

    Vee,

Thanks for taking the time to write at such length. Just about to post another pano of the airport, this time taken just under the arch. Hope you like it.

    And thanks again.
