Well……………to be honest…………like all good photo’s they weren’t THAT purple and red. I found that if you keep some words in mind when editing, you get this. Words like: FULL, MAX, RIGHT, 100%, YES, +100, 400%, ALL! etc…

Cheers Nigel. Its a dawn shot, i’m 51% sure at least, though i was pretty tired. The cows that i cropped out were getting up an crapping over themselves and each other, so thats why i’m the extra 1% sure. Thats a morning thing.

A good question. i stumbled on it last week, but had to ask for directions tonight. Thats why it isnt geotagged yet :P

Its across the border, near Forkhill, which is near Newry.

I’ll try to geotag it on flickr as soon as i can… hopefully tonight.

EDIT: Just Geotagged it and its definately the right spot :)

I agree about the whites, especially as it takes up a lot of space in the photo, love the high contrast though, i’d just tail back the whites a little.

Great spot this, i have been, but took no photo’s at that time.

I like it in general, i think the exposure is too long as the “Wooly Water” now covers too much of the image, so there is no focal point for the eye.

Dammit, i looked at the rock now too, i can’t take my eyes off it’s hypnotic quality….!!!! OHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Well, here is a second attempt, and to be honest, i take it all back. It was a pretty poor attempt at processing and sometimes someone telling you that pays off.

Anyway, please comment and critique as you like, i will re-PP any other things that look a bit iffy :P

Overall, i am much happier with it, i managed to get some detail from both the highlights and shadows in Photomatix, after i read the manual for it…DoH!
