Sorry for the late reply Sinead …

you could try the following …

add a “levels” layer and with the “output” slider (the one under the main histogram slider) adjust the lefthand slider to the right … this kills the blacks and offers the faded look … then add a “hue/saturation” layer and select “shadows” and add a little blue tone to them … I think subtlty is the key …

Been a while …

took this last week … just a wee daisy from the garden … lit from the front by a softbox, from behind with a snooted flash and there’s a gelled green flash firing onto the mountboard background … also, a set of christmas lights on the board for a little oof interest …

Push it a bit in processing, causing some banding … but I like it none-the-less..

I like this Fergus … the HDR is subtle and works well here …

I find the church a little too central tho … I’d like to see it a bit closer, off centre to give the eye the opportunity to take in that lovely sky as well…
