I don’t get how posting a smaller size would help the picture?
It helps because it would be viewable on the screen without having to scroll. So you don’t have to scroll up and down. It’s like when someone posts up a lovely landscape but posts it 2000 pixels wide.
Also probably just a small thing (and probably just me being like this) But I have two screens that I work off, and for both I have to scroll to see the full image, perhaps making the image a little smaller so it’s viewable on the screen without scrolling?
Depends on what you’re shooting really. Best for price is Light Exchange by far. But unfortunately with that comes a low ceiling and a little lack of length (but as I said depends on what you’re shooting). As for other studios in Dublin. Honestly I don’t know how some people get away with the prices they ask for rental charges….yes it’s got a swanky kitchen and a lovely coat hanger, but 600-800 for a large empty space for a day?
Nice shot Lorraine. Probably only thing I would say is the skin. Pores are GREAT…don’t get me wrong, just seems a bit patchy or something??? Also f/10…I probably would have tried blurring pattern a little bit in background, but lovely shot. I’ve seen other shots of her and sometimes a bit TOO concentrated on eyes with “rabbit in headlights” syndrome, but it works really nice here.
Yup no probs. It’s just a one light set up with a small 80x60cm softbox just to the right of me at a 45 degree angle pointing down. The settings were about ISO100 1/125th at f.8
Also how are you saving these images? There looks like some heavy compression (particularly on the first image when you look at the right of the image)
It’s the third shot for me. With these landscape shots (IMO) the horizon level has to be straight and the first shot would have been the best if it was straight. Just be very careful with your watermark, because I think that the use of the watermark is taking a good bit from these images, because it’s the first thing I see when I view them. Just perhaps a little more subtlety is required with it.
Sometimes things don’t always need or have to have titles. It’s a nice simple, clean image that has a nice tranquil element to it. I’ve noticed (in relation to another thread here) that putting titles on images can have a for or against reaction. I think even just keeping it without a title just don’t force anything onto the viewer and then they can just view the image for what it is.
