i see no problem here. the one with IS has the option of switching it on/off. so why get one without? the IS can be helpful even with a monopod but the main thing is to think about the future. let’s say, you can do without IS now but what happens if tomorrow, the stunning blonde girl at the start (the one with the flag) is asking you to take a photo of her and you don’t have the IS lens? just saying: if you don’t needed, you can switch it off, but if you need it and you don’t have it?
yeah i guess the problem is I want it now! and dont wanna save/wait for the is one, if the non is one would do similar, very good point about the future though
