sorry Pete, I did about 10 minutes of work there!! But now, about thoses changes, I have to admit that, to my untrained eye, I can see very little difference! I see a bit more of a crop at the base and to the right but, I don’t actually know what ‘Dragged the vertical perspective upwards’ really means, sorry!!! The rotate makes sence alright… is that your car? m.

well, I don’t know if they really did like them… I posted them all on my mac web site and the only responce i got was: thanks, unusal angles!! But I had included some pure ‘wrong’ photos of the brides father, propably because I didnt care much for his attitude on the day!! But thanks for the positive comments. This site is turning out to be a good place to gain confidence!!… I never noticed the need to rotate that image, but, looking at it now, you’re right… cheers, m.

    Hi Frank,

An artist friend of mine uses ‘absolute framing’ in Rathfarnham. Here is the wen site:

ah, Madrid, that’s right… I remember now, thinking at the time that Michael O’Leary would love it, if only cos one has to walk even longer through this airport than one does through the ‘hall of hell’ in Ryanairs’ Dublin Airport terminal… and not a Kingspan panel in sight… if you are ever passing through, keep the camera handy, even if architectural stuff is not your forte, it?s still a pleasurable visual experience… m (resistor)

ah, glad you like it… to be honest, its such an amazing building (won lots of Arch. awards of course), it would be difficult not to get a decent shot… the repeditivness of the lines and angles are presented by the barreled bamboo roof, tube steel supports, cirular skylight, glazed barriers etc… they are there for the recording.

I’ve noticed a wee blob of green on the upper right that should have been cropped out, ah well… m.

thanks for the positive comments Rob… is there any way to remove the images that I put up as a deliberate weak comparison to ‘NUMBER 3’ ?!! Or are they there forever??
Just curious, do they display the same on my monitor as on everyone elses, cos if so, they may still be a bit large, no?

From the comments so far, I’m afraid I’ve peaked already!! Scared to upload any of my other earlier images now… so I’m off to the Adobe Training Arena!!!

hi, nice boat pic… you might want to rotate the image so that the horizon (sea) is level… (sorry, horizon police here!), but the mast will follow and you’ll enjoy a more balanced sail!

Wow, thats a load of very fair critiquing so far ( a bit of a releif!).. No. 3 it is… thanks!

Beef: I’ll boot up my CS2 and learn a bit about ‘cloning’. As for the lense flare, any hints on how to avoid it in furure?

Gfox: nope, he just stands there waiting for.. people to capture him perhaps? You’re right, it would be a different image without him.

GB7: Yes, perhaps 3 & 4 should be in ‘documentary’ (and the others moved back into my external hard drive!). Can a ‘post’ be moved?… I’ll get the knife to No.4

    Cheers
