Im travelling from Cork via Amsterdam to Montreal in Jan and intend on bringing a whole load of stuff with me in the cabin.. Cos if it’s going in the hold, so am I. I have heard that security in UK airports is insane recently, that might go someway toward explaining the above. Im going to have to contact Aer Lingus and KLM because I’ll be pushing the limits both where size and weight of hand luggage are concerned.
However, last time I was on a plane (just after the bombings in London), I brought a mid-sized tamrac backpack with me without any problems. Lets hope it’s the same story next year.
Odd.. I was up in Carrick a Rede only a few months ago and took loads of photos. Even got the NT people up there manning the bridge to close it for me for a minute or so while I took some shots. Nothing was ever said to me by anyone up there; apart from some friendly chat with the employees
ive been using the copper hill kit on my 20d for the last yearish without any problems. Now that my 30D needs cleaning, it’ll be getting the same treatment. Never had any problems with it. It takes a bit of getting used to but once you get the knack you’ll be flying.
If however it’s small particles of dust that isnt well stuck to the sensor, a good going over with a decent blower should sort it.
Get a PD70X. I got one without hard drive and put a 60GB drive into it. It’s the fastest around, takes AA batteries (that last for ages). Doesn’t have a screen but that’s never been a problem for me. I prefer to backup the cards and review on the computer when I get home. Takes all the usual memory cards. Couldnt recommend it any higher.
