I think the colour strip adds nothing. If it lead to soemthing specific then it would be better justified, but I can’t help feeling this would be better as either full b&w or colour.
Disagree.
Personally i really like the colour strip, but i echo the sentiments of the first reply that it feels a little off/tilted
Same shot taken from dead centre of the colour strip would be perfect imo.
The first one is definitely my fav – i really like the composition.
I can see what the others are saying about the dark foreground and left side, but i actually think that helps push your attention towards the stadium itself, which is afterall the main subject matter.
Nope, very first time. Bought the thing the day before the game :)
A friend of mine is a very accomplished photographer so i had him on the phone to give me some settings to go with and then u just snapped constantly. Out of 700 photos plenty were awful, but the law of averages suggests i’d get some good ones by accident. :) Believe me there were more than enough terrible ones to backup my beginner status :P
Canon 450D with the same mate’s borrowed 300 sigma lens (don’t know any more lens details than that i’m afraid)
I actually did the NFL game, it was a while back now, but i did that somewhat cold – just got a mate to tell me what settings to use and then took 700 photos working on the basis that a few had to turn out ok :)
