Both are nice but No. 1 is particularly good! Such lovely bright colors and bright smile from the subject himself.

Nice set. I like no. 5 personally. The sign up above her saying ‘look before you leap’ is great.

Firstly cheers ‘Flynny’ for embedded those correctly for me, I thought I was doing it right but i’ll have to have another look.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I certainly agree with what was said about the skys being blown and filters are definitely something i need to look into but I don’t know much about them as yet. The first pictures are taken on Maghera beach in Donegal, the last few are down the road from mizen head on Inishowen peninsula. Like someone commented the thing I like about those last pictures is the shadows and shapes in the dunes due to the dusky evening light, very pleasing! Cheers again for the comments, nice to get a bit of feedback.

Thats “Pat” i think, a well known character round Galway. A nice chap all round, i’m sure he wouldn’t have minded being photographed if asked but of course it wouldn’t be the same then!

Hmm…. Nice pictures. In the second one with the guy with the firestaff or whatever how do you keep him sharp in the middle while catching all those different circles of fire so well too??………

I like….. nice sharp detail in the eyes and pleasant expression. I like the detail of the sand on his face alongside the flecks of sand. Good work!!

Great pic brownie. I rarely venture into the landscape section but this is such a wonderfully dramatic shot. First impression i got was that its quite scary. The island or outcrop looks so bleak and barren and with the the light seeming to centre into the middle of the peak its very threatening.

Wow, very beautiful skies alright, what strange looking clouds the way they drop off in wisps at the bottom….
I would agree about the second image, it would be better with just the building creating a more intresting balance if thats the right way to say it….

I think everything has been said very well already by the rest of the members but i just wanted to say i do quite like the first one although its a pity there is a loss of detail in the nets in some parts….

Hey daithi. Thanks, yeah there really was some wonderful colour in the parade alright, first time i’ve seen the parade in years so i really enjoyed it!! I arrived kinda late so ended up stuck in front of harvest off-licence on the other side of the bridge. But once i plucked up the courage to just push through onto the road i had plenty of space to shoot…..
Must check out your pics in “people”, I didn’t know where to put mine….

Thanks B3…whatever. I’m just gonna call you speedy….
Yeah, i’ve certainly been thinking about investing in some decent lenses apart from the basic kit lens i have now.
Thanks for the tips anyway, think i might go for a practice shoot into town tonight maybe…
