Is this the EF-S lens? How much are you looking for it and where are you based?

Rumour has it that Canon will be announcing two DSLRs on August 19th. The current thinking that the 60D will be announced then. No idea when it might hit the streets.

I’ve done some panoramic stuff using a normal tripod with a ball-head. One tip is to set your exposure to the middle of the shot and use manual settings as someone mentioned previously. Another tip is to shoot vertically, that means you get a lot of sky and a lot of foreground, you can then crop away what you want. Naturally shooting vertically means you’ll need a lot more pictures.

Here are two of my panoramas:

I think it is too dark as the detail is lost on the woman’s face on the right handside.

To me the righthand side looks too dark as compared to the left. To me it off balances the picture a bit.

The last one wouldn’t look out of place in a clothes catalogue!

Pictures look very good. The second one looks a bit weird to me, took me a while but then I twigged it was the way the bridge on the left rises up at an angle. Maybe see what it looks like with the left cropped a bit? Just my opinion…

No 1 looks too soft and the sky is blown out. This could be corrected with Photoshop if you shot in RAW.

No 2 is the best and is quite good, looks more natural.

I’m not sure about the background in 3, I find it a bit distracting, but that’s my opinion only.

No. 3 is absolutely brilliant. The rest are very good too, it’s just the look on his face in 3 is spot on and the crop is perfect.

The colours are fantastic on this. Ironically the colours make it look more like than autumn.

Yup looks perfect to me. Can you post the shot details, f stop, ISO, exposure time as there’s no EXIF data with the picture.

As an IT head, when I built my PC I installed a RAID 1 system. Two hard-drives, one mirrors the other. If I have a problem with one, the other automatically switches in. With harddrives being so cheap, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

I don’t think the horse survived. That’s why they are putting up the blue fencing in the 4th shot as the Vet is putting the animal down.

I’m not sure what happened to the horse? It looks like from the second picture that the horse ran straight into the fence. Is that what happened?

jb7 where can I find a copy of these “tables” you mentioned?
