hi isabella. was not sure what category to put this in. thanks for looking and i do see that now with the first one. would look better without the one behind the king.
Those two cameras are at opposite ends of the spectrum :)
If you want to do sport, any kind of sport or anything that moves then the 5d MkII is no use to you as it’s focussing at speed is diabolical and the 7d is streets ahead of it in that regard.
However if you want to do anything else then the 5D MkII is in a different league in every way to the 7D. Better image quality, more MP, better ISO capability, better Video capture, Full Frame. The focussing is chronic though. You can’t get away from that so it’s useless for sport.
There is a solution for you though. You could get yourself a 1D MkIII which is a combination of everything the other two have to offer including even better focussing and lots of other little improvements also. It has no video capture and the 5D has more MP’s but to be honest you will probably never need more MP’s anyway. I have a 5D MkIII and I only use the mRAW setting on it for 10MP as I can’t find a reason to have files any bigger than that.
That my problem can’t make up my mind what I want more and lose out on the other foot.
Would love to go down the road off 1ds mk iii but it’s big money. I no u get what u pay for but think its out off my price range.
Thanks for the comments. Will stick
It back
