Macro is the best and cut flowers is a very clever idea. You´ve beat the problem of movement in the garden. So bonus points to your wife. I never have the heart to cut my slow growing flowers so i spend hours trying to get the focus.
I would prefer to see natural light on the photos which is quite obvious to me on the first one. Second flower is a much stronger photo although the colours of the first one is spectacular.
I want to see more.
Thanks for the interesting info on the focusing rails folks. It´s food for thought.
As art nude goes it is a very good studio shot.
Great pose and great contrast. I am sure it works much better in black and white than colour so good choice. I´m not fussed on the grain. Too noisy for me. I like a good sharp image for art nude but it´s your photo.
Great idea. I am assuming she is a small model or big chest of drawers. lol
Maybe a curtain over the window at the back window in the photo and some extra back lighting to allow focus on model.
First one is good. Good idea. It´s a must have in your collection.
2nd: Good but the label on the lingerie stands out to me. Ever little detail counts.
3rd: Great. Looks unique and is a strong image. Makes you think.
4th is too candid for me.
5th is quite confusing. Too much blanket and not enough nude but i like the direction in creativity you are taking.
Main thing is you keep trying and find some experienced models. Two minds are better than one and all that.
do you not think it is a question of taste also. I wanted them to stand out from the other polo photos taken by others. I guess it is the difference between really being able to take a good photo and trying to correct it in photoshop. Anyone else have any opinions?
I´ve tried that before but i don´t think i am cut out for all that chasing. Thankfully not all my subjects are dead. Just these ones. Plus it was a call of mother nature. My hands are clean i promise. =)
Stacking is a great idea. Thanks for the food for thought. I think i may give it a go and see what i get but i am sure it wont be as good as your diamond. I have been having problems with the focal surface area and i was thinking the only way to solve it was a really expensive lens. if i get any half decent results on my stacking experiment i will post it here.
=)
Not bad. It´s all about practice and a great lens. Normally my subjects are dead but i see yours are very alive. Keep up the good. I´m no where near good yet but i love macro and i love looking at other peoples stuff so keep up good work. have you ever tried one of those magnifying lens attachments. They are so cheap and they are very good for macro with your standard lens.
If it could be a bit sharper it would improve the quality. At the moment it looks like a lovely photo on someones wall. The colours are warm and soft which i like. It´s a good composition as i find hills tricky and if i know the area, you did well to find a spot with out fences and what not in front. Well done! =)
