we have a guy like that here in cork…. well we had havnt seen him iona long time.

this is probly the best pic ive seen so far on these boards very nice shot.

why was he in the sea may i ask?

thanks — we have a few hardened folk in dun Laoghaire , who swim every day in the sea — hail, rain or snow
That day was particularly cold , me and Tim were the only 2 there, i think the cold shows in his face.

Nice shot.. the blur looks really well. Out of interest, who is Tim? I see he features in a good few of your shots. Very Interesting candidate for photos that’s for sure.

Tim is a character around Dublin , you’ll see him cycling a bike , with a dog or 2 in tow , highly educated man .

You should try to imbed the images in your post.
Most of us can’t be ars*d to follow an external link.

are you guys lazy or am i the lazy one ?

Well, you can hardly call me lazy.
I actually followed your link then and did so three times by now.
I then took the ‘trouble’ to let you know that you should imbed the image.

The image didn’t do anything for me and that is why I didn’t write anything about the photo.
In fact, this shot has been viewed more than 1,000 in your flickr and nobody has commented or faved it.
I’d ask myself why that is.

Also, watch out for the horizon police!

there was humour in my comment —

I don’t think it’s a case of laziness. Imagine HMV with all CDs in brown boxes. Would you spend time opening them to see what was inside or just go somewhere where the original cover is on display. You want feedback so you need to make it easy. Such is life in a fast moving world, I’m afraid.

    Alan.

Thanks for feedback, its one thing i miss in 21st Century Dublin, is browsing cd/recods in shops, somehow shopping on itunes or other online sites ain’t the same.

Edit , the other reaon, i wanted feedback , was this photo was misinterpreted somewhere else , and thankfully not here .
    Cheers.

Bit hazy, perhaps a bit of contrast?
Reminds me of the summer of 2007 !!

Winter seams to be back today for sure , thanks for feedback, lack of contrast seams to be a big problem in my photos, i must learn a bit more about it in ps . Thanks

I certainly enjoy shooting around Dublin , and as i spend all my disposable income on photography gear, can’t afford to shoot anywhere else but Wicklow … poor artists are better artists IMO — just watched a thing about Kurt cobain, and he believed this too.

My post has been moved ?

Anyway , just to re-iterate , my photos on flickr state , “all rights reserved” , and I have disabled downloading of my images .
Is this sufficient coverage on my rights ?

i’m a bit with bjorn on this, i do like it , but the posture, arms and toilet location/position give of a heroin chick fix feal —
the libertines did an album cover that appropriatly had that feal , as did some of the 90s Seatle grunge bands — anyway quality of shot is excellent — maybe a little view of the eyes would have been nice — nit picking cause your good.

Yep loads of stories and quite a life — theres been articles in various Sunday papers about him, — quite a character in Blackrock, hates traffic , and i’ve enjoyd a few coffees with him.
As regards black and white , the sun was so bright today , and he looked so tanned i thought it would look better in colour.
Done previous ones of him in b/w
