lovely photo. The dolls legs hanging out of the basket add something thank makes you stop and look at the photo again as the size of the baby and the little legs and dont quite fit. My only fault with this photo would be the vignetting is a little dark and too strong around the center of the photo, but that is only my preference, over all its a nice photo, well done
2 really nice shots, I prefer the 1st shot of the two, really captivating eyes and the framing of the photo works really well, as does the b&w conversion, Well done
i have been looking at your other images in this set.. and while i have not commented on them ( have not made my mind up as to what i think ) i think this shot is excellent, even though it is kinda moving into the digital art realm, i think it looks great. well done.
great set of photos :-), Nicely put together and great expressions from the child.
The only small thing that i would comment negatively on would be the middle pic in the first set, i think it might be a bit more pleasing if the crop was done so as to give the middle pic the same size head as the other shots, or at least something a bit closer to the others.. to me it is just a tad too small looking. But that is just my opinion and i am no expert at this lark
Nice shot, love the B&W, might be a tad nicer if you could se a little bit more of the baby’s hand on the far right of the pic, but over all.. its nice well done
its a nice shot.. but i have to echo what was said about the hat, it does look like a cut out done in photoshop, also.. i find the half person on the right of the pic a little distracting and i would have maybe cropped her out, having said all that, i think you have caught your daughter nicely and i am sure this will be a photo of your daughter that will make you happy for many years to come :-)
For the second time in a studio i think you’ve done well. The model looks good, i am sure she will be happy with the shots, the other commenters have pointed out the toes missing… etc.. so.. i will say for the background.. if you want a high key background & shadowless.. you need to have the background lit at 1.5 stops to 2 stops above your key light. However this will give a lot of light bouncing back on your model, so stand her well away from the background , at least 8 ft from the background.. more if you can get it.
I have to agree with the others here, the second photo is the best of the bunch i think, In the first photo did you use a gold reflector under her face to bounce light up into the shadows ? There looks to be a big color difference or color cast, between her neck, her shoulders, and her forehead..face..or maybe its just my monitor ?
They are both good in my opinion. I kind of like the warmer tone of the first photo, while the “Cleaner” B&W in the second version is more typical of the B&W tone and processing that i usually like. Its really a hard decision, and i think for this photo the first one really works well, But if pushed i would pick the second one i think.
